Run Run Run.. My New Passion

I first started to run, back in 2010 with the Run United 2 and Run BGC, but after that I became inactive. My running partner went overseas and I was left with no interest carrying it on. Couple of years passed, we realized that we've been without proper workout, so last April 07, 2013, my partner joined the BDO Run For Life then she got lucky, she won 2 race kits for Outbreak BGC April 13, 2013. Since then, even without free stuff, we started registering and running in all possible fun runs available. I'm hoping this is not just a hype but a continuous endeavor. May we be blessed with a sound health and far from any injuries..FIRE AWAY!

Alaska Family Run - June 8, 2013

This was that race that amazed me so much. There were lot of people yet I can say still was very organized. Unlike any other races, this was different. There were tons of "Bouncers" around instead of the regular marshals assiting runners around. Had a couple glasses of milk really fan. Loot bag, it was filled with goodies, product of Alaska ofcourse.  Choco milk, yougart product and a lot more. Its worth the price of the registration fee and even more. This is a run that I'd b looking forward to joining again.

Color Dash - May 11, 2013

It looks like a "Death March" to me lol!

I imagined this to be an awesome run with all the sprinkling of colors and stuff. I was a bit disappointed to how very minimal the colored powder has been. We have to get our own and spread it to ourselves, such a pity. We were like refugees lining up for food. Good thing it rained towards the end of the race, at least  somehow, I enjoyed it. It felt good running in the rain. Regardless, credits to the fun run itself, the concept is brilliant it just needed a more thorough planning and organizing. Maybe it will be better next time. This is its debut in the Philippines I guess so, yeah, its the starting point, more room for development and improvement. If I was to be asked if I'll join again next time, I'd say.. "I'll give it a thought.. maybe?".

Energizer Night Race - May 4, 2013
I love night races. Lesser traffic and pollution, cooler temperature.. I can say it's more relaxing and comfortable than day runs. This was great contrary to what others were saying (I am only speaking for myself though) I don't agree to the rants of the other runners, like lack of hydration, confusing routes etc etc. I brought my own bottle that's why and I maybe, just maybe have a clearer vision than those who felt bad about the route or how it was organized.. :) no big deal.. My only disappointment was, there was no loot bag... yeah yeah I know it's a fun run for the benefit of this and that but knowing something is waiting for you, somehow lifts one's spirit. Something to look forward at the very least.

Outbreak BGC  2- April 13, 2013
It was super super fun. My first, since 2010. It wasn't just a race, it was a survival.  My partner won 2 race kits. "It wouldn't be that bad if we try" I said. Such a big move knowing that I have to go to work after. No training, no prior runs what so ever. I didn't even have a warm up. It was impromptu! One flex here, another sprint over there, stride and walk for close to an hour. As expected, those steep muscles.. right, they became steeper LOL, I can hardly raise my arms and I can barely take another step. It really felt like I was running for my life. I even almost fell on my knees too (I can only imagine how bad the cuts would have been. Bleheh!). This was really a good one and it opened up a door to a lot more runs along the way. Next up..

Run BGC - November 28, 2010
I remembered, we were late. Everyone was almost done with the 3K run when we started. Still, we finished the race and got some result. Funny though, for such a distance we spent 49min. We will see some development eventually... I guess?

Run United 2 - November 20, 2010

My first ever.. I was with my boss on this run. I never had any experience. Well I think I've been jogging with my partner before but it was as simple as that, I never knew It would come to this. It was an amazing feeling stepping into my first ever finish line nonetheless :)
